Terms of use
The agreement between you and ARCH GATE when you use archgate.online. Please read it before you buy anything — particularly Sections 1, 5 and 8.
In effect from 24 August 2026. This page supersedes any earlier version.
1. We are independent of GATE and of every institute that conducts it
ARCH GATE is an independent mock-test platform. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to any IIT, IISc, the National Coordination Board – GATE, or any other body that conducts GATE. All questions and explanations are original work produced for this platform. GATE is a trademark of the organising institutes and is used here only to describe the examination these tests prepare candidates for.
Nothing on this site is an official GATE product, an official GATE score, or a prediction made by anyone connected to the examination.
2. Who we are
archgate.online is operated by ARCH GATE, [registered address — to be published before live payments]. You can reach us at admin@archgate.online.
3. Who may use it
You must be 18 or over and able to enter a contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872. One account belongs to one person. Registering with someone else’s details, or with details that are not true, is a breach of these terms and, where personal data is involved, of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
4. Your account
- Keep your password to yourself. Anything done through your account is treated as done by you.
- Tell us at once, at admin@archgate.online, if you think someone else has access to it.
- You may close your account at any time by writing to us. See the privacy policy for what happens to your data.
5. What you may and may not do with the tests
Every question, option, explanation, chart and piece of analysis on this site is original work created by ARCH GATE and is protected by the Copyright Act, 1957. On payment, you get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the papers you have unlocked, for your own preparation, for as long as your account exists.
You may not:
- copy, screenshot, transcribe, record, republish or redistribute any question, explanation or solution, whether free of charge or not;
- share your account, or your unlocked papers, with anyone else;
- use the content to run a coaching class, a test series, a channel or any other service;
- scrape, crawl, or use automated means to extract content or to sit tests;
- attempt to bypass the paywall, tamper with timing or scoring, or interfere with the service or its security.
We may suspend or close an account that does any of these, without refund, and may pursue the remedies available to us in law.
6. Payments and credits
- Prices are shown on the pricing page in Indian rupees and include all applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
- Payments are processed by our payment gateway. We never see or store your card, UPI or bank details.
- A purchase buys credits. One credit unlocks one paper of your choosing, permanently — re-attempts, the review screen and the analysis cost nothing further.
- Credits do not expire while your account exists, and are not transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash.
- Refunds are governed by the refunds and cancellation policy, which forms part of these terms.
7. Availability
We aim to keep the service running continuously, but we do not guarantee it. Maintenance, a failure at our hosting provider, or something outside our reasonable control may interrupt it. If an interruption during a live test costs you an attempt, write to us and we will restore the attempt or return the credit.
8. What we do not promise
- We do not promise a result. Sitting these tests does not guarantee you will qualify GATE, achieve any particular score, or obtain admission anywhere. Your result depends on your own preparation.
- Our questions are our own. They are written to the official Architecture & Planning syllabus by the people who run this platform.
- We correct mistakes. If you believe an answer key or explanation is wrong, tell us. Where we agree, we correct it, and because scoring reads the key at run time, past attempts and analytics are corrected too.
9. Our liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, or for anything that cannot be limited under Indian law, including your rights as a consumer under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019. Subject to that, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of your use of this service is limited to the amount you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of an examination opportunity, loss of an admission, or loss of expected marks.
10. Grievances
Complaints go to admin@archgate.online. We acknowledge within 48 hours and resolve within 15 days. Full details are on the contact page.
11. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. The version in effect is the one published here, with its effective date at the top. A change never applies retrospectively to a purchase already made. Material changes will be notified by email.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to Section 10, the courts at [city], India shall have exclusive jurisdiction. Nothing here prevents a consumer from approaching the consumer forum with jurisdiction over their own place of residence, as the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 permits.
